I can fight only for something I love, love what I respect, and respect what I at least know...

Cape's are always in fashion

What defines a hero?  Do they wear a cape or fly down from tall buildings to save a damsel in distress?  Or do they simply save the day with other super powers?  We all grew up with similar visions of heroes, including Batman, Superman, or even Spider man.  But who is your hero today?
My hero is my mother.  No she is no celebrity nor does she have super strength or even laser beams shooting out of her eyes.  She had defied all odds and beat all statistics against her.  She came from a downgrade broken home, where she was belittled and treated less that respectful.  She left home soon before graduating high school and set out to fulfill her dreams.  Now you may guess that she soon fell to drugs and alcohol due to her upbringing, but no she proceeded to accomplish her goals.  And now I can say that she is the most powerful, loved, and respected woman that I know.  No matter what, she has and always will be there for anyone and everyone who needs help of any kind.  Not only is she a loan officer and Vice President of a Bank,  she sits on the chamber of commerce in her local town as well as the President of the School board.  She proudly juggles work, meetings, and a home life while never forgetting to prove she can do it.  I present to you.... My mother.

I hope, wish, and pray that I could become half of what she stands for in my life.  I know without her, I couldn't be as strong or as driven as I am today.  When my goals/ dreams come true, it will be because of the passion and drive that I acquired from her.  And for that I thank you now, as well as thank you for the future you have given me.  I love you mom.

Never give up...

Whats your meaning?

Do you have a meaning?  When you die, your obituary, will it say that you had a meaningful life?  Most people look at who you are or who you were before now.  Although it matters what you accomplished  throughout your life here on earth is what they will speak of.  To decide is you made life something your proud of, does it have meaning  Do you have a reason to live? or a reason to be?  Not necessarily live, because everyone here lives, although most merely exist.  What I mean is do you feel that there is a reason for you to stay. whether it be a person, an objective, or even a thought of saving humanity.
So what do you believe you are here for?  What is your meaning of life? Does your dog need you? Do you have children who depend on you? or is it as simple as to prove that you are worth something?  But will that be enough, that when you reach that goal or the overall prosperity... what will happen?
A perfect example of this although most of us know it too well from school, but the people who went through the Holocaust during the 1940s in World War II.  More specific, the concentration camps.  I know you have heard/seen all of this and I'm sure, are sick and tired of hearing it.  But, did you know that most of the survivors, although severely malnutrition are almost physically healthier than you and I?  These people didn't brush there teeth, although had healthier gums than a dentist... they bathed only once maybe twice in a the amount of time they were there and they had flawless skin... they wore rags in 17* weather, yet never caught pneumonia or colds....  How is this possible?  This shows us that your mental state can control your physical state... not all the time, but some times.  Think about it, you can control most of your physical state with your thoughts and mind... relating to a meaning....
So a couple days ago I got to thinking... wouldn't this apply to people who are categorized insane?  Are they all really insane? of do they just think they are?  I mean murderers  who can kill people are sent to jail, even if they kill  multiple people you will maybe excited.  But if you take it a step further and may be do something else to them or their bodies... that is classified as "mentally unstable" and more than likely be sent to the state house... where they won't kill you... and treat you better than jail....
The mind is a powerful think.  It controls not only our thoughts, but our body as well.  Why do you think people always tell us to think positive?  Have you noticed that those people aren't sick as often, or have bad days?  Not only do they think positive, they live it too... Imagine if our society were to think positive if only for a couple days.... or even a couple hours... imagine how our world would change???  So relating back to a former post... lets try it... be positive if not for a couple days, maybe just an hour! Take a day to yourself and see what it does to your mind, body, and happiness. :) happy hunting.
